EYOF Friuli Venezia Giulia 2023 – EUROPEAN YOUTH OLYMPIC FESTIVAL 2023 has begun! The event, officially inaugurated on Saturday 21 January in Trieste, will involve thousands of young European athletes, from 50 countries, who will compete in 14 different winter sports for a total of 109 competitions, distributed in 12 competition venues located throughout the entire territory of Friuli Venezia Giulia and partly in Austria and Slovenia.
Today the competitions also begin in Sappada, selected as the venue for the cross country skiing competitions, on the recently renovated and improved cross-country stadium slopes, for which Archest took care of drafting the technical and economic feasibility project, definitive/executive project and construction management. Archest together with the architect Aldo Kratter also followed the design and construction management for a new multipurpose building built along the cross-country ski runs, which will house a conference room and press room for the event, the timekeepers’ room and a gym for warming up the athletes.
