Yesterday took place in Trieste the presentation of Nautaverso, an urban regeneration project that envisages the construction of the first Digital Experience Centre (DEC) in Italy, where it will be possible to move freely in digital environments created with large screens, tactile and olfactory simulators and motion sensors. The Nautaverso, which will be inaugurated in 2027, aims to host between 250,000 and 500,000 people a year and will be built on an area of over 17,000 square meters where the building that will house the DEC, the marina’s on-shore services, and the restaurant will be located. Architect Annamaria Coccolo presented the architectural project developed by Archest together with engineer Roberto Maffioli and engineer Emilio Valdimeri. The presentation was attended by the Mayor of Trieste Roberto Dipiazza, the President of the Port Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea Zeno D’Agostino, the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Venezia Giulia Antonio Paoletti, the President of Confcommercio Imprese per l’Italia Carlo Sangalli, the President of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Massimiliano Fedriga, the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano and Minister of Civil Protection and Sea Policies Nello Musemeci.
