The intervention in the existing building called \”Upim\” in the city center of Udine will be the new heart of the historical center, becoming the Eden palace. The project is a building renovation and actually a full regeneration, which uses the most innovative and efficient technologies matching traditional materials with glass, hanging gardens and internal green areas, exclusive apartments, developed on seven floors, designed to guarantee the most high living comfort.
The project: The supporting structures made of concrete have been entirely maintained; walls will be partially demolished, and two new floors will be built on top. Almost all the 31 new residential units will have double views, facing the road and the internal courtyard in the south. The new ground and first floors will keep the same commercial use. The residential upper floors have a stoneware cladding with windows of different size. A system of glass loggias characterizes the second and third floors, the other residential floors have large terraces.
The corner of the building becomes the main front and the most important point of view, with the original independence and importance in the comparison with the tower of the Town Hall.
The apartments, carefully designed, guarantee an excellent microclimate and better exposures to the sunshine. The internal environments enjoy high performance plants and energy standards of class A.
